National Intellectual Property Day Expo 2012

The National Intellectual Property Day (NIPD) was introduced in 2005 in conjunction with the celebration of the World Intellectual Property Day. The main objective of NIPD is to increase awareness and knowledge on intellectual property issues    among the public, encouraging innovation and creativity and also honouring the contributions of the intellectual property community.

The theme of this year’s NIPD2012 is “Intellectual Property – Driving Transformation”, this is to reflect today’s global intellectual property landscape, where nation competitiveness is becoming increasingly dependent on its capacity to innovate. To complement the government’s efforts towards transforming and inculcating innovation and creativity among IP community particularly the Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), an exhibition on intellectual property will be held at the sideline of   the    event.

To prospective exhibitor, MyIPO will offer 60 booths available for IP community to showcase their IP assets and most important to share experience on how such assets have contributed in enhancing their competitiveness.
